Be prepared but not alarmed! Executive Overview

Jesus warned, “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.” (Matthew 24:6-7)

Jesus tells us not to be alarmed, that wars and natural disasters will happen. I think His people need to be prepared. They need to be ready to pick themselves up, dust themselves off, and be prepared to provide Christ’s aid, comfort, and safety to their neighbors.

How do we do this? Through Disaster Preparedness, Response, and Recovery training.

• The first goal of this ministry is to equip and encourage strong Godly families for disaster preparedness, response, and recovery through training.

• A second goal of this ministry is to reach outside of the church, into the marketplace, to provide the same equipping and encouraging training, but to also try and shift the focus from dependence on government and self to a dependence on God; to open the door into families, clubs, groups, and small businesses for the chaplain ministry and to introduce as many people as possible to the eternal disaster protection of Jesus Christ.

• A third goal of this ministry is to develop Disaster Response missions teams in local churches by recruiting and maintaining a trained group of volunteers, prepared to respond to local, regional, or national disasters.

 

DiRT Training Overview

Marketplace Training

Who: Family groups, clubs, small businesses

What: Practical Department of Homeland Security (FEMA & CERT) based Disaster Preparedness, Response, and Recovery training.

Goals:
1. Equip families and small businesses for Disaster Preparedness and Response
2. Move focus to dependence on God and the eternal disaster protection of Jesus Christ
3. Open the door for family and small business chaplaincy


Church Training

Who: The church, believer groups, small groups, Godly families

What: Practical Department of Homeland Security (FEMA & CERT) based Disaster Preparedness, Response, and Recovery training from a Biblical Worldview.

Goals:
1. Equip Godly families, small groups and congregations for Disaster Preparedness and Response
2. Prepare a trained group of volunteers, ready to respond to local, regional, or national disasters as members of a Disaster Response ministry of their local church
