Bible Challenge 2009 - Week 49

The Bible Knights Quest! - Bible Challenge 2009 - Week 49 - 03/07/2010

Sunday --- Luke 18
Monday --- Luke 19
Tuesday --- Luke 20
Wednesday --- Luke 21
Thursday --- Luke 22
Friday --- Luke 23
Saturday --- Luke 24

Knights and Ladies,

O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you. . . Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. . .
Psalm 63:1, 3 (from this years Lent readings Psalm 63:1-8)

We must earnestly seek God. His love for us is so great, and nothing else can satisfy our desires!

Only four weeks to go in the Bible Challenge 2009. God be glorified! A full year of reading God's word and earnestly seeking Him! Stay tuned for Bible Challenge 2010 plans.

Speaking of earnestly seeking God, "I look at the stars in the night sky or reflect on the structure and information-bearing properties of the DNA molecule, and these are occasions for me to worship the Creator who brought them into existence. . . exploring the scientific and historical evidence for God. . . [is] a way of giving the Creator the credit and honor and glory that are due to him."
(Stephen C. Meyer, qouted in "The Case for the Creator" page 91)

Accept the challenge, take the quest!

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
(2 Timothy 3:16-17)

A prayer for the use of Holy Scripture:

O Gracious God and most merciful Father, who has granted us the rich and precious jewel of Your holy word, assist us with Your Spirit, that it may be written in our hearts to our everlasting comfort, to reform us, to renew us according to Your own Image, to build us up, and to instruct us into the perfect building of Christlikeness, sanctifying and increasing in us all heavenly virtues. Grant this, O heavenly Father, for Jesus Christ’s sake. Amen.

To Preschool or Not To Preschool?

Another study confirms. . .

It's best NOT to send your kids to preschool!

". . . after testing these children in kindergarten and first grade, 'no significant impacts were found for math skills, pre-writing, children’s promotion, or teacher reports of children’s school accomplishments or abilities in any year.' In fact, the study shows the only difference between children who spent two years in a Head Start program and other children in the first grade classroom is a 0.08 improvement in oral comprehension. . .

Research shows again and again that there are no long-lasting positive impacts to public preschool. . .

While children that stay at home in their early years have normal interactions in kindergarten, the Head Start impact study shows that 3- and 4-year-old children that are sent to Head Start tend to be more shy. Parental involvement is the key to a child’s success."

Faith, Family, Freedom!
Dear Family, Friends and Fellow Constitutionalists,

A group that is known as the "Liberty Candidates 2010" are sponsoring a "Money Bomb" on Wednesday, February the 17th. Candidates are vetted to see if they conform to the Liberty Candidate standard and if approved, are listed on their various websites. They are strongly encouraging for every one to financially support Liberty Candidates. You can find out more about candidates who are in your area that you may want to support at:

I have a goal of raising $10,000. It is vitally important for us to succeed if we are going to take back our state and our nation.

For those of you who have pledged to support my efforts in building the Constitution Party and building a strong campaign for governor of Illinois in 2010, now is the time to act.

You can make your contribution at:

You can also click on the "Money Bomb" link above to track the progress.

Thank you for your support and especially for your prayers. May God richly bless you as we work to restore constitutional boundaries to our country and to our states.

Sincerely, yours in liberty!

I need your support!

Appeal: DiRT Training and Evangelistic Outreach Projects

Hello Friends, Family, and Faithful Supporters!

I'd like to say thank you for your support in the past and ask for it once again. I had a great year in 2009.
  • Hosted a 21 day fast and prayer event for a new Christ Awakening
  • Hosted a group of 5 couples to attend the FamilyLife Weekend to Remember Marriage Conference
  • Completed the Bible Challenge 2008 and started the Bible Challenge 2009
  • Officiated in 2 weddings
  • Hosted the 2009 Cry Out America 9-11 Prayer event with well over 75 participants
  • Encouraged many people to visit our local church
  • and witnessed personal spiritual growth among a number people I'm coaching, mentoring, and discipling with!

There are two events coming up this month that I would like to raise funds for, and many ministry initiatives and resources I would like to plan for in 2010. Can you help?

Coming up Saturday Feb. 20th is a Christian Security Network Seminar in Peoria on "Security & Emergency Planning" I would like to attend to continue to develop my DiRT (Disaster Response Team) Ministry. The cost to attend is $75. (CSN Seminar Details)

Also, Feb. 16th is a live web cast, "State of the Nation 2" by Ken Ham from the Creation Museum and Answers in Genesis Ministry. The web cast is free, but I would like to stock up on ministry and outreach materials to host some local events this year. (State of the Nation 2 Details)

And of course, I am planning for this years Cry Out America event and the Bible Challenge 2010, "A Commentary Journey Through Luke and Acts"! (Cry Out America details) (Bible Challenge details)

Can you help me out? If you can:

Any donations above this years expenses (around $500) will be divided among the following ministries: Greater Peoria Area Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Voice of the Martyrs, and Answers in Genesis.

Thank you so much for your support and prayers. May God be glorified and His Kingdom advanced! Bless you. - Mick

Bible Knights Quest!

Bible Challenge 2009 - Week 44

The Bible Knights Quest! - Bible Challenge 2009 - Week 44 - 02/07/2010

Sunday --- Matthew 27
Monday --- Matthew 28
Tuesday --- Mark 1
Wednesday --- Mark 2
Thursday --- Mark 3
Friday --- Mark 4
Saturday --- Mark 5

Knights and Ladies,

And so John came, baptizing in the desert region and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. . . After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. "The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!"
Mark 1:4, 14-15

Repent and believe the good news that Jesus has paid the price for our sins!

The prophecy of Isaiah has been fulfilled! (Isaiah 40:3 Mark 1:1-1)

Repent:
1. change ways: to feel regret about a sin or past actions and change your ways or habits (Encarta World English Dictionary)
2. A change of mind, a reorientation of one's thought and action away from what it was before. (spirithome.com)

Acknowledge our sins and sin nature, change our ways or turn away from our sin, and believe that Jesus Christ has paid off our debt and we are now free from the debt of sin!
