In the event of a disaster (tornadoes, flood, wild fire, terrorist attack, war, etc. . .), local responders may not be able to reach you immediately, or they may need to focus their efforts elsewhere. You should know how to respond and be prepared to be self-sufficient for at least three days.
Consider the California wild fires, would you like to be personally prepared? Would you like to be trained and able to head out as part of a CERT or DiRT team to provide aid and care?
Would you be interested in introductory training to help citizens learn how to protect themselves and their families against all types of hazards?
Would you be interested in introductory training to develop, practice, and maintain emergency plans that reflect what must be done before, during, and after a disaster to protect people and their property?
Would you be interested in more training and exploring CERT (Citizens Emergency Response Team) or DiRT (Disaster Response Team ministry) membership?
Thank you,
Chaplain Mick
